Had a fantastic day today!  Went to have my hair cut at Stephen Jon's in Tickhill (great hair salon, please book it if you need a trim, also does male grooming and shaves with a cut-throat razor).  After the trim I decided to go for a walk round Tickhill Mill Pond and take a few photos.  Did some fairly standard shots and a few Infra-Red, nothing special.

Then I sat down on one of the seats for a while and noticed a young lad in a Gorilla Suit striding up the footpath towards me!  He never said a word, just sat down on the seat next to mine and watched the birds on the pond!  Needless to say, I took a few photos of him!

After this I decided to take advantage of the lovely winter light and drove down to Roche Abbey, a ruined 12th Century Cistercian Monastery.  I had the tripod and all my gear with me so I decided to try out a few more shots with the Infra-Red filter.  I'm glad I did as I got some of the best landscapes I have ever taken.  The light was just glorious and picked out all of the fantastic architectural details on the Abbey ruins.  To add to the atmosphere, the IR filter came up trumps and produced some beautiful images.  I will upload some to my website in due course.

Bye for now, I'll be back soon with another blog.

Cheers, David
